First of all, I want to make sure you noticed the topic this week is “Freeze!” and not “Frozen.” I don’t want a bunch of disappointed Disney fans today. That said, I’m here today to celebrate the last bit of summer with some treats from the freezer. So many yummy things happen from just a little extra cold. The cold never bothered me anyway. Sorry.
I’m trying very hard to be a healthy eater and shed a little excess me. I’ll admit, that was much easier to do in my twenties, and even thirties, but in my forties it’s a bear. I’m always looking for lower calorie sweet treats (my weakness), and this Skinny Raspberry Frozen Yogurt from High Heels and Grills looks like one I need to try.
In complete contrast to the goals I stated above, my very favorite drink at Starbucks is a Caramel Macchiato. Fortunately, it’s a bit of a drive to get to one from where I live, so I’m able to keep it to a minimum. I’m not sure I want to know how to make this frozen version from Around my Family Table, but it definitely sounds delicious.
The beauty of these Make Your Own Slurpees from Clean and Scentsible is that you could make them in any flavor you can find soda in. Even sugar free!
I love the Dole Whips at Disneyland, but somehow it never occurred to me they could be a flavor other than pineapple. This strawberry version from Chocolate Covered Katie sounds divine.
What sounds even better than ordinary s’mores? Frozen S’mores from Reading Confetti!
I don’t even care what these Whole Fruit Popsicles from The View from Great Island taste like. They’re just gorgeous!
This Watermelon Granita from Yummy Healthy Easy only has a few ingredients, looks very easy to make, and captures one of the best flavors of the summer.
These Frozen Yogurt Buttons from Lady Behind the Curtain look like a fun and healthy snack.
I have two big memories from the first time I visited Disneyland when I was seven years old. The first is the fact that Space Mountain had just opened and we waited half the day to ride it. The second is chocolate covered bananas on a stick. They were amazing. Now I can rekindle that memory at home with instructions from Feeling Foodish.
I don’t want to leave out our furry, four-legged friends when it comes to frozen treats, so here’s some PB & J Pops from Doggy Dessert Chef. If you left out the rawhide stick, I would totally eat these myself.
