Friday Favorites–Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is next week.  I hope that wasn’t as much of a surprise to you as it was to me a couple of days ago.  I’ve got some menu planning and grocery shopping to do.  If you’re more calendar-aware than I am, and you actually have a little crafting time left before the holiday, I’ve found some fun ideas for you to try.  If not, you can just admire them from afar along with me.

This Perfect Fit Tablecloth from Smashed Peas and Carrots was intended for an outdoor table, but it seems to me it would be a welcome addition to your Thanksgiving table.  No one will catch the tablecloth standing up and donate the entire dinner to Fido.

Of course, you need something pretty to put in the middle of that table, and these Awesome Acorns from Jane of All Crafts fit the bill.  I love the combination of the plain hemp and the sequins.

A few of those in a basket with a handful of Handmade Pinecones from Home Made Simple and you have a centerpiece.

If you’re looking for something a little sweeter, try these Indian Corn Place Cards from Holiday Crafts and Creations.

This Pilgrim Hat from Parents might get the little ones to actually eat a vegetable or two before attacking the desserts.

Add a few jellybeans and some toast to this popcorn-stuffed Paper Bag Turkey from One Charming Party and you’ve got yourself a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving!  Am I the only one who actually wanted to try that?

It’s probably a little too late to count down to Thanksgiving this year, but this Thanksgiving Countdown Bunting from Tatertots and Jello is a cute decoration anyway, and you’d be all set to mark the days next year.

I don’t think I’ve ever loved a turkey I can’t eat as much as this Embroidery Hoop Turkey from Gwenny Penny.

I’m off to think about food!
