Friday Favorites–Where’s the Fire?

I guess it was bound to happen that my daughter would fall in love with a firefighter.  When she was a baby, her room was decorated with a Dalmatian theme.  I actually told her when she was younger that I thought she’d marry a firefighter.  And…here we are.  In 10 short months, my prediction will come true, and we couldn’t be happier.  I think we can look forward to more than a few police vs. fire jabs across the Thanksgiving table.

When I was looking for police and fire stuff, I found lots of three things:  girls scantily clad in uniform costumes,  babies posed with mom or dad’s gear and kids’ parties.  My favorite is the parties, and the cutest fire-themed bash I saw was this one from That Cute Little Cake.  I love all the tissue paper “fire.”

You can’t have a party without invitations, and the old style and easy readability of these Firetruck Invitation from Sassaby are perfect.

This Newborn Fireman Set from conniemariepfost on Etsy is all cute, but I really love those boots.  I see a future photo op.

I could see this Firefighter Sculpture from Metal Imagination sitting on a desk or bookshelf.  He’s just weird enough to be kinda fun.

Evon Cassier makes large bags from used turnouts.  What a great gift for a retiring firefighter!

I’m pretty sure there will be a baby quilt or two in my sewing room’s future, so I’m hanging onto this To the Rescue Baby Quilt Pattern from Free Quilt Patterns. (FYI, despite the website’s name, this pattern is actually $7.99.  Still, very reasonable for this cute design!)

There’s just something I like about this firefighter print from flyingmouse365 on Etsy.  I think it’s the determination on the elephant’s face.

Sweet Creations by Stephanie made these fire helmet cookies using a baseball cap cutter.  Smart!

Any guesses as to what first responder my son ends up with someday?  I’m leaning toward paramedic.  Then we’ll have all our bases covered and we’ll be scheduling Thanksgiving sometime in early December.
