Do you have a furry, four-legged friend in your home? We’ve had a few dogs over the years, but this knucklehead takes the cake. He’s warm, enthusiastic and the clumsiest canine you’ve ever seen. Meet Max.
Max gets Christmas presents every year – only to keep him busy and out of everyone’s laps while the humans open gifts. My daughter and her husband added Nala, a sweet rescue dog, to their family last year, so I decided our two buddies would get matching treats.
Max’s favorite thing in the entire world, besides his people, is peanut butter. You can’t even think about opening a jar of it without turning around to find his crazy eyes and dripping jowls, so his very own jar was a win for everyone. I started by removing the existing labels from the peanut butter jars.
I cut strips of vinyl that would cover the label area and fit around the jar. I also cut the wording using my vinyl cutting machine. You could also write on them with permanent marker if you don’t have a cutter available.
After that it was just a matter of applying the labels to the jars.
For the dipping sticks, otherwise known as jerky treats, I used a 5” wide bag and these bag toppers. I simply cut them out, folded them over the top of the bag and stapled them in place.
The dogs loved these, Max especially.
If you ever want to see this face, just walk into my house and say “Do you want some peanut butter, Max?”
