It’s been a VERY long time since I made anyone a Halloween costume. In fact, a couple of years ago I was threatening to throw my own Halloween party, just so I could wear a one. And make my husband dress up with me of course. The problem is, there are just too many good ideas floating around out there. It will take me until the next time Halloween falls on a Saturday just to decide what I want to be. I guess I’ll add everything here to that ever-growing list!
Sometimes all you need is a mask, like this Jeweled Spider Mask from Sew4Home. Who’s going to notice what else you’re wearing with this anyway?
I noticed, after I gathered this collection, that many of these are not full costumes, but components. You wouldn’t have to add much to these Pirate Hooks from Grace’s Favours to make a pretty spectacular Capt’n.
I’m sure you can’t possibly imagine why this Needle and Thread Costume from C.R.A.F.T. caught my eye.
If you have a little four-legged friend who wants to get in on the trick-or-treating action, make him this Puppy Rocket Pack from Sewing my Fingers Together. And hold tight to that leash.
I know these are supposed to be Glinda and the Wicked Witch from Simple as That, but look at those angelic faces…no one is wicked in this pic!
I laughed far longer and harder than I probably should have at this Cactus Costume from Quilted Delights, but it’s awesome.
I might have to make one of these Halloween Necklaces Made with Hot Glue from doodlecraft on Instructables. And then I’ll wear it to the grocery store. I’m thinking the drippy blood version. No more blocked aisles!
Cinderella is proof that a new pair of shoes can change your life. I don’t know who said that, but they’re not wrong. Make these life-altering Glass Slippers with Mark Montano.
I know this is a mask for kids, but the detail and shape of this Woodland Bear Felt Mask from Delilahiris is just stunning.
I’ve seen many cute mermaid costumes, but I always wonder one thing – how do they walk? Make It and Love It has solved that problem in a clever way.
