We had a little taste of summer here this week, with temperatures nearing 90 degrees and sunny, blue skies. Ordinarily April is grey and wet, so it was like Christmas came early. We were all running around in our shorts and sandals, unearthed from winter storage. Sadly, we’re about to return to our regularly scheduled programming. I’m not sure I can let go yet, so I’m going to talk about one of my favorite fruits. Limes are available year-round, but something about them makes me feel like I’m somewhere tropical, which I’m going to cling to by my fingernails if I have to.
Two of my favorites combined into one tasty little dessert – Key Lime Pie Stuffed Strawberries from Maebells.
I’ve never had key lime and chocolate together before, but I think this Key Lime Pie on a Stick from The Girl Who Ate Everything would be a good way to introduce myself to it.
Tasty and pretty – Cherry Limeade Layered Mousse from Confessions of a Cookbook Queen.
Everything about this Coconut Lime Zucchini Bread from Jamie Cooks It Up sounds good and looks kind of adorable.
I’m hanging onto this recipe for Lime Creamsicles from Girl Versus Dough until the hot weather is here for real.
This Cilantro Lime Coconut Rice from Little Broken next to something grilled sounds like a perfect meal.
I bought some avocado hummus recently that was delicious. Thanks to Recipe Runner I can now make it myself, with the addition of lime.
There are lots of lime cookie recipes out there, but these Lime Sugar Cookies from Real Housemoms just look so biteable.
I want to believe we’d be able to keep our hands off this Cilantro Lime Cucumber Salad from The Food Charlatan long enough to let it marinade.
This Brazilian Lemonade from The Recipe Critic doesn’t contain one bit of lemon. I can’t figure out why I’ve never tried it, because it sounds amazing.
