I have a pile of things to do, both in my office and sewing room. None of it is overdue, but those deadlines are staring me down like a deer in headlights. So what did I do on Wednesday? I shared a milkshake with my daughter, made with the remaining blackberry ice cream, and finished up a wall hanging for a quilt guild challenge. It isn't due for another month, and is definitely optional. As I said to my husband, who agreed wholeheartedly, sometimes you just have to take a day to do stuff you don't have to do. The best part is, I woke up the next day ready to tackle the important things again!

This nap mat from Sew Like my Mom is meant for preschoolers, but who says mama doesn't need a little mid-day shut eye once in a while?
I love that Sadie Seasongoods used era-appropriate fabric for this pattern wall art.
I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to break the news to my resident wood worker that I need a bench using these plans from Ana White.
I know, I know. This is weird. But have you ever tried Kool Aid Pickles, like these from Tornadough Alli? Are they terrible or amazing? Because I feel like that's the only two options here.
I love everything about this pattern from Cherry Blossoms Quilting Studio, right down to the colors used on the cover.
