As you read this, I’m working behind the counter at My Quilting Loft, the quilt shop where I’ve been teaching workshops. When the owner asked me if I would be interested in minding the store while they’re out of town for a show, I was surprised at how quickly I jumped to “Yes!” It feels a little like babysitting. I get to play for a few days, then give it back before any of the serious stuff comes up. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop in and say hi - I’ll be the one petting all the fabric!

I like the idea of hiding the television, especially if it’s not used often. This cabinet from Frugal Family Times is pretty, functional, and not too difficult to make.
This hoodie pattern from So Sew Easy would be great for spring, and comes in a good variety of sizes. (FYI, the pattern is on BluPrint, but it’s free.)
Did you know you can make buttons using shrink plastic? I’m anxious to give this idea from Scissors Paper Wok a try.
I have a seatbelt bag I bought in Disneyland years ago. I’d love to try my hand at making one with this kit from CozyNestDesign. That tassel! 😍
