It’s a beautiful day, at the end of a sunny week, with an even better weekend in the forecast. These are the kinds of days I’m tempted to haul my sewing machine outside. Has anyone ever actually done that? I think it might present its own set of challenges, but I’m almost willing to brave it!

Since it’s a little over a week until Mother’s Day, I thought I’d include a few gift ideas today. I’ll start with this tote from DIY Candy. It’s made by smashing the heck out of flowers to release their color and dye the bag. This seems like the crafter’s equivalent of screaming into a pillow, but it’s really pretty!
One of these coasters from Curly Made, a new cup, and a box of tea or coffee and you’ve got Mom covered.
These jewelry bowls from Rhythms of Play, made by tracing their little hands, will be a great reminder in a few years when their hands aren’t that small anymore.
This time last year, and the year before, I was in Italy visiting my son. There are three edible things I really miss over there: buffalo mozzarella, cappuccino, and gelato. Thanks to Genius Kitchen, and some frozen blackberries, I can at least enjoy that last one.
