I didn't get to spend as much time in my sewing room this week as I usually do. I have a good reason though - I was learning new stuff! I took an online course from Abby Glassenberg of the While She Naps blog on how to write a better newsletter. It was an excellent class, and I'm looking forward to sending out my newsletter on a more consistent basis. If you're on my newsletter mailing list (not the one where you only receive these blog posts) I'd love to hear your feedback after you receive it on Monday. If you aren't sure if you've signed up, just email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I'll check for you. I'm anxious to put what I've learned to work!

The photo can't really do this flying butterfly from Buzzfeed justice. You have to see the video, and the looks on the faces of those opening a card with this inside.
With school right around the corner, or already upon some of you, these bookmarks to color from Dawn Nicole have great timing.
After finding these pancakes with the syrup inside from Extra Crispy I'm trying to figure out whey I've never seen them before. This idea is genius!
A friend sent me this salad recipe from Barber Foods and I'm really intrigued by the ingredients. The watermelon and cucumber I've seen before, but it also includes things like balsamic vinegar and feta cheese, which makes it pretty unique.
