The big eclipse is over, summer travel and events are winding down and I've heard talk of pumpkin spice already. It looks like Summer '17 is almost a wrap, and I feel ready for autumn. It was way too hot for me this year, and my boots are calling. The funny thing is, I'm sure I talked about being excited for summer when spring was ending. I guess I know why I live somewhere with clearly defined seasons - I need them all.

I'm sure this quilt pattern from A Bright Corner caught my eye for all the reasons you'd think - the colors, the fun pattern and the manageable design. I keep picturing this as a baby quilt!
I love these simple, chunky shelves that My Patch of Blue Sky made from a post. I'd need all that lovely pottery to go with them though.
I've been into embroidery for a while now, and I'm a big fan of black fabric, but I couldn't figure out how to make those two work together. Sublime Stitching to the rescue with this clear tutorial.
I've made this coconut lime chicken from A Saucy Kitchen twice, and a third time I substituted shrimp. It's a new family favorite!
I was working on a vendor apron for the Etsy shop ACraftyConcept recently and had a peek at her shop. There are SO many cute things, but these Mommy and Me fringed bags are irresistible. She makes them in lots of colors, and there's even a non-fringed pineapple set!
