Our boy is home!!! I don't know exactly where I am as you read this, but I can guarantee it's probably either following him around or in the kitchen making some of his favorite foods. It's been nearly a year and a half since he has set foot in this house. We couldn't be prouder of him and his time spent serving our country, but we're beyond thrilled to have him back for a whole month!

This cute hair tie pattern from Oliver + S is a good one to save for those gifts you're going to want to start making soon. Really soon. Sorry.
I learned something important on the shopping trip I took with my daughter a couple of weeks ago - velvet is IN. This top from Sewing Rabbit is a good way to introduce it into your wardrobe.
I've been looking for recipes my son might like, and this bacon, cheese and spicy pepper combo from Baker by Nature ticks all the boxes.
I'll admit, it might be the camouflage-looking green and brown colors they chose, but I really like this downloadable pattern from Leisure Arts. I've long admired this as a fabric quilt, but this one is crochet!
