It's amazing how quickly you get used to that whole empty nest thing. With our son home, our daughter and her husband (and some of our son's friends) have been hanging around the house a lot, and it takes me right back to their younger days. The fridge and cabinets are full of food, and we had to bring up an extra chair from the basement so we have enough seats in the living room. All the feels. I'm just trying to enjoy the now, and not think about the trip home from the airport!

This is such a great idea from DIY Crush for repurposing a Halloween skirt that your child has outgrown. Cuz they DO grow when you're not looking (see above).
This headband from Make Create and Appreciate is a great beginning to a fox Halloween costume, but with a few color changes you have a whole menagerie at your disposal.
This owl pattern from Sew Desu Ne is cute, but it wasn't the ones with the pastel bodies and sweet eyes that caught my attention. Don't those two in the middle look perfect for Halloween (or just a really rotten day)?
These, with a bowl of tomato soup, are a perfect fall meal. Thanks to Delish for the video.
It's so close to scarf season. I almost always jump in too soon and have to shed it midway through the day. With one of these beautiful scarf pins from nicholasandfelice on Etsy I might tough out the heat though.
