I heard Christmas music playing in a store a few days ago (in fact, it was the day before Halloween), so it must be time to start thinking about...Thanksgiving. My husband will be working, like most years, so we'll be celebrating a couple of days late. The look he gave me when I suggested that we just skip the dinner since all the kids will be elsewhere said everything. I'll start planning that menu soon!

Do you have a gamer in your life? She'd probably appreciate it if you made her this hat from Whistle and Ivy.
Let's face it - if you have little ones, they need something to do while you're cooking the Big Dinner. Whether that's helping out with food or playing with this crazy bird from No Biggie, keeping them busy is in everyone's best interest.
I can almost guarantee that there's not a kid out there who has read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe who wouldn't love this reading nook from Bless'er House. Kinda wondering if I can fit in there...
Being the sugar fan that I am, desserts are one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving. The problem is, in order to sample everything you have to go small. Have you ever tried to cut a tiny sliver of a pie? It rarely works out for me. These pies made in mason jar lids from Created by Diane are a great solution, and they're adorable.
I'm all about waiting until after Thanksgiving for the Christmas decorations, but if you're a maker, or buying from one, you do have to think ahead. Even at this point, you'd have to wrap a "here's what's on the way" photo or something for this one because it sounds like it would arrive after Christmas, but I think these are worth it. It's a pillow that looks like a book! These beauties from BrassingtonHollow on Etsy would be great gifts for readers on your list, and she does take custom requests.
