I hope you enjoyed the gift guides over the last few weeks, but it's back to our regularly scheduled programming today!
I think I'm finally all set for Christmas (until I remember whatever that thing is I haven't realized yet that I've forgotten). I also ordered myself a new toy that I'll tell you about in a minute, and it looks like I might get in some practice time on it next week. The game of holiday whack-a-mole might be coming to an end!

I know it's late in the game, but I came across a couple of ornaments I couldn't resist, including this one from Orange Bettie. How do you say no to a taco?
I thought these pom pom ornaments from The Crafty Swedes might be a good Christmas Eve activity to share with the kidlets.
This quilt pattern from Quilting Digest definitely looks Christmasey made up in these colors, but with a different combo it would be perfect for winter, and there's plenty of that left!
I can't say I've ever had a fried green bean, but this recipe from The Chunky Chef looks like good New Year's Eve fare.
Now, about that toy I mentioned before. I've been mulling over the idea of buying an embroidery machine for years. There are several things I sell that I get requests to personalize all the time, and it would be nice to be able to say yes. I narrowed it down to the one that I thought would work best for me, and I've been keeping an eye on it.
This week, I found it at the lowest price I've seen yet on Amazon. Being the bargain shopper I am, I did a little digging elsewhere. Long story short, if you sign up for emails from Overstock.com they will immediately send a coupon, bringing the price down to lower than low.
To top it off, if you use Ebates (and if you don't you should - cash back on LOTS of your purchases, online and some in-store!) you get a small percentage of your purchase price back. I feel like this was a steal, and I can't wait to try it out!
