You should see my to-do list right now. It kind of freaks me out just looking at it. And I’m currently behind, which is something I don’t usually let happen. In my defense, this is part of the reason why:
How do I get anything done with that little nugget of a granddaughter right next door? It doesn’t help that she’s at that stage where she’s jabbering and smiling. Oh, my heart.
My boy is also visiting, on leave from the Navy, so some of my time has been dedicated to him too. I’m not complaining about either one of my issues, and in fact, I’m not even sorry. But, as a result of my distractions, I don’t have a new project for you today.
I don’t want you to go home empty handed though, so I’d like to show you the new patterns I’m working on for my shop! I’m hoping to release one of these later this week or early next week, with the other to follow soon after.
The first is this pinwheel table runner. This can be made using a charm pack for the front and three fat quarters for the back.
Another option is to cut the pinwheels from a fourth fat quarter, so they all match.
I’m going to include a simple hot pad that can be made using the leftover charm squares if you go with that second choice.
I’ll also be teaching how to make this runner in a workshop at My Quilting Loft next month. If you’re in the neighborhood, come join us!
The other pattern I’m working on is for this sweet couple.
They’re a pair of softies, that I’ve named Papa Gnome and Gigi Gnome. They’re each about a foot tall to the tip of their hat when they’re sitting. Having them hanging out with me in my sewing room just makes me smile.
If you’d like to share, I’d love to hear your feedback on both of these. I’ll put my blinders on and get the patterns finished very soon!
